what we make

good things keep happening

gtkh.org

an anonymous shared night sky. every light in it is a moment somebody left behind — drift near one and it will speak. there are no likes, no follows, and no feed to fall down.

warm lights — good things that happened to someone
cool lights — people being missed
golden lights — sent to you by someone thinking of you

you can keep a private journal of your own days alongside the shared sky, or send a single light to one person by link. what you keep private never leaves your device.

l train monitor

late4l.com

a single-purpose arrival board for the L. live MTA data, the next four trains, the time, and nothing else — no map, no menus, no app to open.

it is built to be left on: point a cheap wall-mounted display at it, and it just sits there telling you when to leave the apartment.

how we build

four things we don't compromise on

quiet by default

software should be able to sit in the background of a life without demanding a place in it. no manufactured urgency, no streaks that punish you for having a hard week, no notification written to pull you back.

anonymous unless you say otherwise

no accounts, no profiles, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers. we ask for an email address only when you hand us one for a specific purpose, and it does exactly that one thing.

one thing, finished

we would rather ship one small product that works completely than five that almost do. a feature earns its place by making the thing calmer, not larger.

built to be kept

everything here is made to still be running in ten years — small enough to maintain alone, cheap enough to keep online, and honest enough that it doesn't need to change when the business model does.

the studio

one person, a short list of small things

kept light studio was founded in 2026. it is one person, and the list is deliberately short — which is roughly the intended size. everything here is designed, built, and maintained in-house.

the name is borrowed from the work: a kept light is one somebody left on purpose, and one that somebody else is still tending.
